Endocrine nurses talk about acromegaly

From the Nurses Working Group at the European Society of Endocrinology (ESE) –   Dr. Sofia Llahana is Chair of ESE Nurses Working Group and nurse member of ESE Executive Committee and a friend of Pituitary World News. Today she sends us a series of video lectures from the Nurses Course on Acromegaly held at the European Congress of Endocrinology in Dublin in May 2015.

Although these videos are designed primarily as training aids for nurses, they are also packed with a ton of great information useful for acromegaly patients to learn more about their condition.  These are some of the tittles:

  • The role of the endocrine nurse in the diagnosis, pre- and post-operative care of patient with Acromegaly
  • Long-term monitoring of patients
  • Hypopituitarism post surgery and quality of life

The European Society of Endocrinology Nurses’ Group provides a support network and resources for endocrine nurses based in Europe. The Group aims to develop and promote the role of endocrine nurses and raise the profile of Endocrine Nursing throughout Europe.
