Global summit slated for October 3, 2020

The World Alliance of Pituitary Organizations – WAPO – announced today this year’s Summit will take place online on October 3, 2020.  The meeting was initially planned to take place in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in March but had to be postponed due to the COVID pandemic.  “We are very pleased to be able to provide this important event to our members and the global pituitary community,” said Muriel Marks, WAPO’s Executive Director.  The agenda is packed with great information from some of the leading experts in pituitary disease.

WAPO is a global nonprofit organization based in The Netherlands founded in 2012.  Its primary focus is to unite the international pituitary patient community to push for optimal treatment and care for all patients with pituitary and related conditions worldwide and support all pituitary patients’ advocates around the world. WAPO’s support for member organizations includes the development of initiatives to unite the global patient voice in international and national policy-making, disseminate evidence-based information on pituitary and related diseases, highlight best-practices shared by pituitary advocacy organizations all over the world, and increase global pituitary awareness activities.
