Head trauma of many different types can cause hypopituitarism. The pituitary stalk can be literally torn in two causing hypopituitarism and Diabetes Insipidus as well as hyperprolactinemia. This woman’s story is not unlike many others but, unfortunately, many people languish without ever having received a diagnosis. Take a read!
